Ashridge Forest is very close to my home. It is a lovely place to walk and relax in. Of course Bluebell Woods are a very common subject for photographers at this time of the year, indeed when I went out yesterday I would think at least half of the people in the forest had a 'hefty' looking camera. So I wanted to try something a bit different, hence the low viewpoint and the softened effects.
I suspect it's a bit like marmite, love it or hate it!
I also visited Whipsnade Zoo, again a much visited and photographed venue, in fact I think there was a photography workshop going on whilst I was there. So, again, I was trying to capture something different
Thrilled and delighted
Yesterday I found out that I have had two images accepted in the London Salon Exhibition 2013. I was succesful in 2010 but, despite my best efforts, I have not had an acceptance since, so this is a big boost for me.
The accepted images were:
A Dash for The Lagoon. A slightly different version of this image is on my Iceland page.
Impressions of the South Bank
