Autumn Leaf Frozen in Winter

This was one of those lucky captures. It was a wet, cold winter day and I was gazing out of our back window. Then I saw this leaf frozen in the underside of the one of our garden chairs. I loved the textures and detail which had been retained in the leaf and the vibrant colours. I did take several pictures before I was happy with the capture. I have entered this on several occasions but it has never been successful, although it did come third in a competition, sponsored by Olympus, called The Beauty of Winter.
